What is and EDP?Electronic Document Professional (EDP) is an industry designation awarded to qualified individuals employed in the use and management of electronic document systems, as well as in manufacturing, marketing, and providing services related to electronic document systems. Xplor International, The Electronic Document Systems Association®, is the sponsoring organization for this certification program. A not-for-profit professional trade association based in Torrance, California, Xplor International comprises more than 2,000 organizations from over 40 countries worldwide. A certification commission appointed by the Xplor Association Board of Directors oversees the Electronic Document Professional Certification Program. The commission develops program policy, ensures program quality, and oversees the activities of the certification evaluation panel. The mission of the certification commission is to develop, promote, and maintain the standards for recognition of professionalism in the electronic document industry.
